99 Lexus Rx300 ABS Activation on Pavement

Hey Scotty, been watching for a while. I've got a 1999 Lexus Rx300 with 240k miles. The ABS comes on when I'm driving on the pavement at slower speeds 20 - 0 mph. It does not activate at higher speeds. I have disconnected the ABS module for now. Was thinking it may be an ABS sensor, but have heard about sensor rings as well which are part of the axle? The ABS light does NOT come on when it activates on pavement.

I also have new tires, and car is pretty decent all around.

Thank you!!

classic symptom of malfunctioning wheel speed sensors.

Inspect the sensors for dirt and metallic debris. Make sure the sensor, wires and connectors are intact in their home.

Worn out bearings can cause erroneous signals too.

You can use a multimeter to test if they are operating correctly. It should be easy to find the procedure on the web.
