Hey scotty, I have a 09 Ford ranger 2.3 engine. With a manual transmission. At 110k miles. This issue doesnt happen everyday. It's rare when it does it. The anti theft light blinks and my truck wont turn on. I have pictures or videos that I can send you as well. I got new keys made for them because some mechanic told me that should help. But not sure why it keeps doing it. I even took it to ford dealership and they couldn't figure it out because the issue wouldn't happen to them. I did try to connect the obd 2 scanner when that light came on and it just said that it couldn't read the computer. Can you please guide me or give a few tips on what to do next, not really trying to spend crazy money fixing a lot of things. thanks scotty
Next time it does this lock the doors again and get outside the car and unlock it with the key. The car literally thinks its being stolen when that light goes off so it has to do with the car being unlocked and then started without having the key recognized.
