Are AWD cars more stable at speed? Do cars loose grip at speed? Does AWD improve stability when maneuvering at high speed? Why did mercedes adapt AWD for their cars in recent years?

Well, if they're made correctly of course you have more control but it's mainly for corner control and a straight line. It really doesn't make any difference
