are the 1990s mitsubishi and galant and lancer any good ?

Cheaper made cars that are 30 years old doesn't sound any good to me. If you get one for 500 bucks in good shape why not but don't pay any serious money and/or use it as a daily driver.

Is this gong to be a daily driver? Are you going to put lots of mileage on it? How much mileage are on the ones you are looking at? They weren’t great cars to begin with and most I’ve seen around nowadays are higher mileage and you don’t know how the previous owner took care of them. Also at just over 20-30 years old, lots of items will need to be looked over and serviced - just more hassle. I can’t recommend these.
