Attainable Dream Car

Hey Scotty and Forum Members,

What is your attainable dream car? Mine is a Nissan GT-R since it is the last word in engineering and fun. (PS it's also the car that broke Jeremy Clarkson's neck)

Reliability is important to me still, so for me it would be the Lexus LC500 convertible.

LC 500 is a really cool car, that thing is a head-turner and I rarely see them on the road. That said, it is a relatively new car so time will tell how they hold up. That said I would still go for the GTR R35 myself since it's been out for over a decade and it's less complex than the Lexus, but at the end of the day, they are both robust and made in Japan. I would use them as a weekend toy and have a rational car or some EV as a daily.

My dream car is the one I fully build myself 😉 (it will totally be street illegal lol).

Something like this?

Haha, good one! I was thinking more like a formula 1 😆
Donut Media has this funny video on YouTube where they leave an Indy racecar at a parking meter to see if it gets a ticket lol.

Mine is a 1999 Honda Accord Coupe Manual Transmission.  Well, it was my attainable dream car as a kid that looked good, but wouldn't drive my insurance up the roof, because technically insurance considers it a Sedan because of it's size.  It's not the fastest car. But I still find the engineering and design behind it fascinating.  It's the first time that Honda (and Toyota with the Camry Solara), decided to make a distinct version of the Coupe, rather than a chopped off version of the 4 door.

And guess what?!  I still have it since it was brand new!!! Haha.

Gotta love that generation of the accord, old Accords are very desirable and I am seeing mint and low mileage ones from the 80s and 90s slowly going up in value 🙂

I'm a sucker for the ol boxy look so in all honestly it would be the 1986 Toyota Cresta GT. I bought an E30 at the time cause it was well, hella cheap so that my current project but if I were to be offered one of those.. mmmm I would trade or pawn off my current in a heart beat. Especially with E30 prices nowadays 😂😂😂

I actually had it, 2002 Suzuki Swift AWD. Rust and oil burning made my dreams a nightmare. Unfortunatelly Japanese kept AWD Aurises for themselves.

Probably a 2-seater AMX with 390 V8 and 4-on-the-floor. Preferably a 1970 model so it has the ball-joint front suspension. Wouldn't need much else in it aside from a radio, maybe AC, though the optional electric windshield wipers would be nice to have as well.
