Scotty, I have a 2012 Chevy 2500hd cummins 110k miles. I took the family out to the lake for boating on memorial day this past weekend. Backed my truck up a little to far in the water to drop the boat in (got the tailgate wet and submerged the exhaust and back wheels). Went to start the pickup today and it wouldn't start. Any idea what I could have broken to cause the truck not to start this morning?
Well I'd say check the wiring back there especially the wiring that goes to the fuel pump it might as short or something out see if you have fuel pressure or not first
You may want to check out the evap system as well. At least in my Ranger, the evap canister and vent valve are practically right above the rear axle, just ahead of the spare tire. They're mounted on a crossmember beneath the bed. If your truck is the same way, and the vent got submerged, you could have gotten water in the fuel system.
