Battery killed twice

I have a 2017 Chevy Impala Premier 41000k problem started after i cleaned the negative terminal to get the corrosion . I used baking soda and water. about a week later the car would click, I made sure the connection was tight i put my jump box on it and it fired right up. I checked the current coming to the battery it was 14.4 volts with my meter. took it up to auto zone the guy said the battery was fine trough his machine. a few days later I went to a totally different Autozone and they said the battery was bad. I replaced the battery it worked fine for a week then wam i hit the start button and the dash goes crazy it wouldn't even click. i tested the battery it read 10 volts. once again back to auto zone they gave me a new loaner to replace this one. but i took the car to the dealer they checked it and they determined that it was the fuse block that sits on top of the battery, they said it had high resistance. but they wanted me to bring the loaner battery to test further. which i did. the price was 350.00 i told them to give me all the parts they changed. my question is will that part kill your battery?

Did you drip some baking soda water into the fuse box by accident?

Search Scotty's videos for "battery drain"

By the way 14.4 Volts is the electrical force. Current is measure in Amperes

@mountainmanjoe
It's possible to drop baking soda on the fuse block, because the assembly is located on top of the battery. connecting to the positive terminal. which wasn't even touched

It might either by a battery drainage from somewhere or the alternator is just not recharging it well.

@a_car_is_born
i thought that too but when i cut the car off and measure the battery it was at 10 volts so it wasn't holding a charge, but the alternator was supplying voltage to it.

It could be the cleaning of the terminal uncovered other problems. Corrosion on the terminals is the effect of an electric problem, so you better go to a trusted service and find what is going on, as the friend above said it could be drainage, alternator, regulator... how long since the las fix? is it working ok? The fuse issue could have prevented the batt to properly charge

@killabyte
The vehicle was serviced by the Chevy dealership. fuse block replaced and a new battery from auto zone was installed. so far the car has been starting. for 2 weeks now.
