Hi Scotty,
Looking at buying an older 4runner but am seeing mixed advice on 2006. 2008 seems to be the best year, but I would consider 2006 if it’s just as reliable. Should I also be concerned with over 200,000 miles?
Right now I’m considering an 08 with 211k miles for 11k and an 06 with 175k miles for 9k

This site would seem to indicate that 07 - 12 would be a better choice, but I would look for a well-maintained one, rather than focus on the year. Anything over 100K, I would do a compression check. rather than choose on the basis of moderate difference in miles.
