Mustang Gt 500
Acura Nsx
Corvette v8
Dodge Srt
Lexus RCF
Camero
Nissan GTR
Porsche 911
Race = Drag
Asphalt = track
Reliability = who cares
Speed = Yes
I assume new?
Yeah any car between 2019 to 2021
Oh see, now THIS is my kinda thread guys.
{black}:cool: {blackemo}:hotdrink:
Let's see here.....that's a good list of cars, no arguing that. Keeping to this list, and assuming as new as possible on the years, I'd rate them as the following:
Race Track:
1. Porsche 911 GT2/RS
Drag Strip:
1. Dodge Challenger SRT Demon (on slicks as found in the Demon crate)
Cruiser/Daily Driver
1. Nissan GTR
If you have a mountain of cash, the Lexus LFA is a track MONSTER. But it is stupid expensive. Have driven a few and they are amazing machines. If I hit the lotto, that will probably be my one indulgence.
The new NSX is a very nice car, but I wouldn't put it in the same category as the others. NSX has always been a bit special, a bit of a niche car, kind of off to the side doing it's own thing.
The GT500, reliability thrown out, is a good ride but like so many of the big V8 halo cars it has a lot of trouble putting the power down. The Corvette I don't particularly care for when it comes to handling characteristics. I know, mid engine means better handling but if you haven't driven one, wait until you do to say how it handles. The Porsche blows it away.
GTR....we all know what they can do and are about. Very fun cars. Expensive to maintain, but we are throwing that out here. The Demon is a strip beast, especially if setup as it is supposed to be.
Camaro and RCF would be at the bottom. The RCF is a good car, but not in a position to compete with the others. The Camaro is, well, a Camaro, and drives as such. Yes, the 1LE package makes a difference. No, it doesn't compete with the Porsche.
Agh....all that said, I need to make more money so I can splurge on one of these machines! {blackemo}:easymoney:
Disclaimer: Drivers make all the difference. Any car can beat any other on any day with the right driver mod.
@Mod_Man We need this thread. I haven't seen these in a while. My money is coming off my mouth.
Reliability aside, for track (but not the drag strip) and bang for the buck, it would have to go to the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE followed by the Shelby GT500 (with Carbon Fiber Track Pack or CFTP). With the ZL1 1LE under $75,000 nothing can touch it around a track. That price tag is $25,000+ cheaper than the Shelby GT500 (with CFTP) - assuming you can even get for MSRP (good luck)!
When it comes to fastest vehicles stock around the track for under $100,000 - that’s where GM and Ford shine.
Money no object, fastest car around track (from that list) is the Porsche 911 GT2 RS > Porsche 911 GT3RS.
You might want to check these out as well for fun (definitely not a good final decision maker but rather to understand which car's energy fits you)

Being serious, Mod Man will come and give you a good answer when he logs on;) This is his specialty.
Not ever testing one, off of how they look, speed, and overall quality I personally would pick between the Porshce and Acura and put the Americans last on the list as you rarely find American V8s but rather junky disgusting sounding EcoBoosts and turbocharged engines. If you could find a Corvette V8, that might be a blast. Note: don't take this last paragraph seriously, just my first opinion of them I haven't tested any of them.
From the Americans, the Camaro ZL1, Shelby GT500, Dodge SRT are all supercharged V8’s. The next fastest are their naturally aspirated V8 offerings. The “slower” versions have turbocharged engine (Camaro and Mustang only).
supercharged V8 sounds fun
Honda is well known for its 3.5 V6 for putting them in a ton of their cars. In the Acura, I'm not sure if that would make for a minivan engine experience or a perfected beast...
@Kerem Well they did put the hybrid system. I just like the Acura NSX as part of every day sport car driving. I would never take any of the other cars in the road for daily use lol.
At the drag strip, from the list above: lots of variables can determine final finishing order but in general (all else being equal)
1. Porsche 911 (specifically Turbo S, GT2RS)
2. GT500 (without the CFTP)
3. GTR
4. Corvette C8
5. NSX
6. Camaro ZL1 (regular, non-1LE, 10-speed Auto)
7. SRT Hellcat
8. RCF
I would pick like everyone else. Hope you have fun in the track or drag racing. I want to see you smoke other people lol.
