Scotty my wife and I have decided to get a Corolla as her next car. What is the most durable model Toyota offers? I noticed they offer a 2.0L 4-cylinder as well as a 1.8L. Thanks.

The 2ZR-FE 1.8 engine has been out a while. If you don't want or need the higher trim level and larger engine, you should be fine with that. The 2.0 is a newer Dynamic Force Engine both are reliable but the 1.8 is more proven.

Both engines are reliable. Your choice should depend on how much power you want as also avoid those years that burn oil (1998-2002) if you plan to buy used.
