My question is, what is the best way to effectively use KOOL IT evaporator foaming cleaner? The box says to just insert the small hose from the can into the drainage hose from the ac. However, I've seen a ton of videos on YT from people giving all different advice on whether the car should be running or not, what to set the dashboard ac/heater controls on, even whether it's better to put the small hose from the can under the dashboard, INSIDE the car to get closer to the evaporator. One person even said to drill a hole in the casing where the evaporator is, which I am not doing, to really get the foam onto the evaporator. Lots of musty, mildewy smell from the ac, I think this product might work, but what is the best, most effective way to actually use this type of product? The car is a 2003 toyota camry, 4 cylinder, in pretty good shape. BTW, why didn't they put more room in the evaporator compartment so this problem wouldn't happen in the first place?!?! Thanks for the videos and the help!

P.S. There is water dripping from the drainage hose, so there is water coming out. Thanks again!
I would spray it from the outside, and then turn the fan on so the foam gets drawn THROUGH the evaporator core and properly soak it.
The compartment's job is to be compact and to move air, so no it wasn't engineered for regular entry. I don't see how more room would help your issue.
Ask you dealer if your car supports an "after blow" feature. It helps to dry out the evaporator to keep mildew way. I would make sure that the evaporator drains are completely clean and clear so condensation drains easily.
you're saying put the foam in the drainage hose, then turn on ac for a bit to get the foam where it needs to go, then turn car off, let the foam break down and drain out?
I'm not experienced with Toyotas, so I can only picture MY air system in my head. But yours shouldn't be drastically different.
Air is ducted from the cowl area into the engine bay where the blower fan pushes it through the firewall, through the evaporator core, heater core, various diverter doors and finally to the interior vents.
On my vehicle, I can go under the hood and remove the air duct cover to expose the fan. The evaporator is on the other side of the fan. That's where I would apply it.
I confess that I'm not familiar with your product so I didn't read the can, but hopefully some of this information helps you.
Thanks for taking the time, appreciate it. I'm going to use a cell cam to go into the ducts from the top and maybe the inside to see if I can find the best route to the evaporator. Have a good one!
