Hi Scotty!

I just recently bought a BMW 320d 2013 msport. It has nearly 100k mileage. Also I do not have any service history. Should I change my timing chain or is ir going to last longer?

many thanks!

Unless it's rattling on startup there's no need to change it. On most engines timing chains last a very long time as long as oil changes are done on time.

Belt, yes.  Chain, probably not.  You can double check with the 3-series forums, and they can tell you if there have been a lot of premature failures.  But otherwise, I would save the money and keep a stash for when something else needs fixing.
