I am looking at buying a 2021 4Runner SR5 Premium 4WS Sport Utility with a V6 4.0L/241 engine and a 5 speed Elect Automatic transmission. Is the 4Runner a good vehicle? I would expect the engine to last 300k miles since it is a toyota, is that realistic? I have a 2006 corolla with 350k miles and no major problems.
They’re bulletproof vehicles if maintained and can last up to at least 300K miles if maintained. Just beware of the gas mileage as they don’t even get up to the 20s on the highway (that’s if you drive like a maniac). Are you replacing your Corolla with that 4Runner?
No it still runs well. I am replacing my wife's 2014 Ford Flex it just turned 100k miles and is starting to have electrical problems. We just replaced a module in the fuel pump.
In that case yeah get rid of the Ford for the 4runner.
Maintanence and more maintanence will give you long life. If you buy a new Toyota you will sleep very well at night for at least 13-15 years

There are no guarantees with any vehicle as they are designed, engineered, and built by humans and humans are not perfect and all carmakers’ reliability has slipped over the years, but when it comes to buying a brand new SUV (which the 4runner is) that has the best chance to last the longest (and with minimal issues), then the 4runner is your vehicle.
