Any thoughts on buying a 2009 ford mustang manual transmission 102000 miles? It's a V6. The owner wants $5000. How long could this car last?
Have a mechanic check it out, but the S197 Mustangs are pretty reliable, particularly with the manual transmission. Those V6 engines weren't fast, but they were work horses.
Test drive the vehicle to make sure that there are no issues and have a mechanic look it over. The price is reasonable and could last some time with proper care.
Keep in mind the average person that wants a sports car, and what they likely did to it. Pictures of doing donuts and driving like a crazy person come to mind. Cars driven like that don't last long.
That being said, I know an older lady that has a mustang, and babies it. Getting one from an owner like that, if you can be sure, may not be bad.
