Buying my first car!?

Topic starter

After driving my family work van as my first vehicle, a 1999 Chevy Astro Van, I am getting ready to sell it. I will be listing it for $7,000. I would just like to know if buying a 2004 Lincoln Town Car Ultimate with 72,000 miles is a good idea. I know the panther platform is legendary for its reliability and safety. I am also a fan of big, comfortable cars. Is it too big though, what are your thoughts? Thank you!

They are good cars although gas hogs specially in city.

I do hope you make a good deal, but I think your Astro asking price is out to lunch.

I bought a 2000 Astro with 100,000mi in 2006 (so it was 6 yrs old). AWD, locking axle, rear A/C, excellent condition. I bought it from a dealer for $4,300.

Yours is 20 years old.

Yeah that sale price on your van makes me think of a certain Elon Musk pic Scotty uses.

The potential purchase, however, I can get behind.
