Scotty, can the inertia switch for a 2004 Mazda B2300 pickup truck be successfully jumped, or is there stuff that prevents the switch from being successfully jumped?  This video shows a certain gentleman jumping the inertia switch for an older-model Ford Ranger.

Of course it can. But you may want to check if power is going to the inertia switch and coming out of the switch with "KEY ON" using a test light first.

The inertia switch is between the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump.

No power going to the switch would point you toward the fuel pump relay and that relay's fuse.

Power going to the switch but not leaving the switch would be a faulty/triggered inertia switch.

Power going to the switch and leaving the switch would make the fuel pump a suspect
