My 2015 Nissan Altima 2.5L 52.000 miles is experiencing a sporadic
delay when accelerating from a stop. It won’t
rev or do anything for a couple of seconds no
matter how far down the pedal is. Then all of
a sudden it’ll go. There is no check engine
light and no codes. If I turn the car off, it’s
like it resets and has more power afterwards.
The dealer has consulted their “tech line”,
could not get it to recreate, and has no clue.
The sensor associated with the brake pedal
was changed by them and now it just did it
again. The dealer is at a loss as to what to
do next. Any thoughts? I see a lot of talk
about the throttle position sensor, but the
dealer says it’s not it since there’s no code
being thrown.
If I turn the car off, it’s
like it resets and has more power afterwards.
Do you men the delay is gone after you restart the car? If so, there might be an error in the ECU. It is also possible that the throttle position sensor is bad, change it.
Yes the delay is gone every thing back to normal until it does it again next time. So a TPS could go bad and not make the check engine light come on?
It might be ECU or other electronics. You need a higher level scan tool and analyze the data.
Thank you for your answers I will scan it and go from there. I'm going to disconnect the battery and see if that might reset ECU and maybe do the trick
