I started my car and down the road about 20mins into my drive my battery light comes on and my 2013 Honda Civic has a warning and it says “Check charging system” then my lights start to get dimmer and dimmer as I’m driving down the road… then another warning comes on and it says “check brake system” then another warning “check airbag system” then another it says “check power steering system” as I’m driving my wheel locks up and I’m forced to slow down and pull to the side of the road in the middle of nowhere to avoid crashing. The lights got dimmer and dimmer even my emergency lights went out after about 5 mins on the side of the road. The battery is a little old and I just put in a new alternator a year ago so I’m not sure what is going on. I had someone give me a jump and I was able to drive home but all of the warnings are still on the screen. Any advice on what to do from here? My best guess is a distributor but I don’t know. It’d be nice if it’s just a bad battery or something. I was supposed to go on a road trip this week and this is incredibly frustrating to have happen out of nowhere.
