Hi Scotty, I have a 2004 Nissan Frontier 3.3L V6 2WD Crew Cab XE with about 160K miles. My clutch is starting to go high, at the end of the pedal before it starts to move. I'm thinking it'll be time to replace the clutch soon.

I found a kit with the clutch disc and pressure plate, should I also change the flywheel?

Where should I buy the parts, do you know if Valeo parts are any good? Or should I go with Nissan parts from the dealer?

Thank you for your help Scotty, and Happy Holidays!

If the clutch actually needs replacement, you need to do the entire clutch kit - clutch disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bearing.  Your flywheel doesn't need replacing unless it's badly cracked.  Usually, I get mine resurfaced at an automotive machine shop.  Make sure your adjustments for pedal height off the floor and freeplay before resistance at the pedal are as per manufacturers specifications.  Check the clutch master cylinder for proper operation and clean fluid after bleeding the air out.
