[Solved] Cooled seats do not turn on

I have an automatic 2012 hyundai genesis with 112000 miles. Recently my drivers' cooled seats will not turn on. However my heated seats work (and are on the same button). Is there anything I can do on my own to troubleshoot this problem? I called a shop in the area and they want to charge $105.00 just to do an electronic diagnosis. My left rear passenger heated seats also stopped working a few months ago, and then started to work, but are back to not working again. Do you think this might have something to do with my car battery dying several times in a week during the severe nationwide ice storm several months ago? I have not replaced my battery in the 3 years that I purchased it from a dealer.

Unfortunately be it the case, battery life is now 3 years. So it could be going out. They really don't make things like they use too. If after you change the battery(because you probably have to anyway, it's about time) and they are still busted, could be everything from frayed wires to bad communication. And that requires wiring problems and solutions.

Okay, start with buying a new good battery & load testing your alternator too. You might do much more harm to your vehicle by driving with a bad battery.

Check if the problem reappears with the new battery.

Also, yes, if it’s not a simple fix like a bad fuse/relay, it’ll need to be diagnosed with a dealer level scan tool.
