Hey Scotty I have a Manual 2006 Scion tC, 145,000 Miles, And it has a crank no start. It has new spark plugs, air filter, and fuel pump/filter. It cranks normal but when I put starting fluid it sounds like it almost starts but it doesn’t quite turn over. What can be the problem. Thank you

So what I would do is check out Scotty's video "fixing a car that cranks but doesn't start."
It's likely not the battery, alternator, or starter because it cranks.
Your fuel injectors might require some cleaning or possibly replaced not sure about that.
Another thought is the air idle control valve, you want to make sure it opens to let air get through, maybe while applying starting fluid it is getting a lot of air to it's not starting.
Finally, some wear on the engine might be occurred so there isn't combustion happening in it.
I would like scotty to follow up with this case.
Yes I doubt it is the battery, alternator or starter.
Check Scotty's video, that would be a good idea
Hello,
I would suggest you get a code reader and see if that shows up any faults.
All the Best
Very possible it has a timing issue. Either some part of the part of the actual hardware broke...chain, tensioner, guide or a failed electrical solenoid for the variable timing. A cam or crank sensor failure is also suspect.
