Hi Scotty and Community,
If I have to choose between a 2011 Crown Vic and a 2011 Camry with 100K miles, which one should I pick and will last the longest? Thanks.
Crown Victoria, but what kind of use/abuse has it seen ? Cops beat those thing to death, taxi drivers were worse.
I like Panther platform cars, built like a tank, great highway cars, produced for 21 years ! But if it was cop use and more than 120,000 miles, be really careful.
A better choice could be Mercury Grand Marquis, maybe a Lincoln Town Car. Those are the same basic platform, but they usually don't get beat to death.
BTW: 2010 was supposed to be last year of Crown Vic production, but St Thomas had extra parts, so plant was kept running until parts used up. The cars they made were labelled 2011, basically a 2010 with very slight changes. The biggest complaint on those cars was the 2011 head restraint. It angled too far forward, so you got sore necks like in the new Camry's.
Buying the Camry would be like rolling dice, maybe win, maybe lose.

Okay. Thank you 🙏

my mother loves hers, brags about it all her friends. My aunt Shirley got a new 2020 Lexus, but she likes mom's Mercury better, she says it rides better and is a lot quieter.
Those are pretty neck and neck in terms of reliability, but I would go with the Crown Vic because you can put P71 parts on it and make it look pretty cool and it also has a V8 that sounds awesome.

Thank you!
Get the Vic, scoop down in the hood and play some Chaka Khan....
those vehicles are pretty equal in terms of reliability. The Camry might win by like 1 or 2%. But the Camry gets better gas mileage. The Crown Vic is a much nicer ride and is way more comfortable to sit in
I would get the Camry. Better mpg. Just keep in mind I'm talking about the V6. If the Camry you consider has i4, you may have oil burning issue and go for the Crown Vic.
