If it was me, … I would just drive that 2008 Lexus ES350 for another 140,000 miles!
… but if you must have a hybrid now, … consider a new RAV4 Prime, perhaps?

Thank you for your response! To follow up on your answer I think the reason I am considering getting a new/newer used car is that I don't know if I should keep spending money to repair the car. This year I spent around $2000 to get a new CV axle + new wheel bearing + O2 sensor repair. I feel like I might need to get a new suspension soon as the car has become floaty when I drive it. Is this normal and is it an investment worth making? Thank you!
That depends on a current overall condition of your car. I subscribe to the rule which goes something like this: … How much can I get for my current car in "as-is" condition? / How much do I have to spend in the next 6 - 8 months to make it run for another two to three years? If repairs, maintenance, et al. estimate is larger than the price I will get selling it now, … I sell the car and get replacement. But that’s just me, …
Best,

Got it, thanks for the suggestion!
If you need to buy a SUV, get a RX350. That is the closest to ES350.
@yaser
Thanks for the suggestion, I will definitely look into that!
I’ll buy your Lexus, how much?
@oneimich
For reals?I don't honestly don't know what would be a fair price, cosmetically my car is not in the greatest shape (leather seats have a lot of tears) but if you are still interested please feel free to email me at mitsshimiz@gmail.com, I would be happy to share some pictures
I'm with Scotty on hybrids, I'm not a fan of them. I have a 14 RX I bought new with 55k on the clock. It's never been repaired and if something ever happens to it I'll buy another one. Another non hybrid Toyota/Lexus is your best bet.
