I have a 2003 Crown Victoria LX with 80,000 miles. Transmission fluid is pink/red but I don't know whether or not it was ever serviced. Do you recommend I drain & fill it? Or would I be risking making the transmission slip?

Thanks for your reply. I checked the FAQ and search results and didn't find anything for an 18 year-old car with relatively low mileage.
The age in years doesn't matter . The slipping issue you mentioned is for high mileage, worn out transmissions (as mentioned in the FAQ). I see no reason for you to deviate from the manufacturer's recommendation.
