I have a 2011 ford Crown Victoria with 220,000 miles and I live in New Orleans where is hot and when is midday and I'm driving in the city I get a code for the transmission p0713 it goes away as soon as I get on the highway or turn it off for a few hours should I change the whole transmission oil with the filter because my mechanic say it's slightly burnt or should I change 2 quarts at a time

That code is related to the transmission fluid temperature sensor, why did your mechanic suggest to change the fluid?

To address the diagnostic fault, you need to fix the sensor not the fluid.
However if the fluid is burnt then it is worn out. Please check our FAQ for more information about fluid.
