I have Proton Preve 1.6 model CVT transmission, 123000 mileage, the current problem im facing, everytime i stop in a hill and if i want to start driving my car hesitates and wont accelerate unless i pressed the pedal hard, if i accelerate i can feel the car moving but it will die so i have to remove my feet from pedal and try again until it moves, normal road the car works fine, if AC is off The car working good also including hills.
Can you advise me is it the transmission or could be something else.
Have you load tested the battery and alternator?
Start simple, check the air filter, spark plugs, fuel filter (if equipped) in addition to @yaser ‘s advice. Also pressure test the fuel pump.
Since you said you don’t have any symptoms with the AC off, that might also be an indication of a failing AC compressor.

do you feel gutless (no power to wheels)? it may be togue convertor issue and test fuel pump.. it probably going bad first sign is put load on engine and it wants to stall or die.
