Hi Scotty, I have a 2003 corolla, 1.6, manual with 140K miles.
When I turn on the front defogger, instead of the air coming out of the windshield vent, the air blows out the front vents (the ones for the occupant's faces). (Obviously I set the vent to defog mode). The HVAC system is digital.
Does it blow air from vents under the window if you set it manullay?
@yaser
No. No matter what I set it to it is always on the front (face) vents.
Does it show any change eon the control unit when you select the defogger? If not, odds are that you may need a control unit.
@yaser
The control unit does change when I press the buttons, but the air doesn't flow differently.
Do the motor that opens and closes the defogger vent is not working and stayed close .hit the dash couple times to see if it can help.
@yaser
and in many different spots : ) Good day yaser : )
@yaser
I removed the glove box, and wiggled the big white gear connected to the air inlet control servo motor. After that is started to function normally!
Thanks for all the support!
