I have a 2005 GMC sierra 1500 SLT crew cab. When I start it I can hear an actuator grinding in the dash on driver side somewhere. It is loaded so it has the automatic ac functions where u set the temp with a digital readout. Passenger side has separate settings on the dash hvac controls. I turn the defrost on high and nothing comes out the windshield vents. After it’s on high for few mins I’ll hear the blower kick on and then I can feel it through the main vents coming straight into the cab. I don’t know if my dash hvac controls are bad as well as a blend door actuator. If that’s the case can a swap it out to the manual hvac controls or will I need to swap out new digital hvac controls? And where is the blend door actuators located? Thank you in advance.
Were they actuators are inside the day I shouldn't. They are cows to get to you. Got there of the dash apart. So you pay a guy like me with this fancy scan tool where he can do bi-directional testing to see which one is bad and where to take it apart to begin with rather than guessing
