Hello Scotty/moderator,
i have a 2010 vw jetta 2.5 automatic with 150,000 miles bought from private party and its running great in the city I do not have any check engine alerts or any other lights on my dash signaling any issues. The problem is after I have driven for nearly an hour from San Diego to Riverside(California) I don’t drive this distance often only a few times, but my car seems to drive different once I get off the freeway. I get off the freeway and instantly feel a change. It is odd I feel as if the car because really sensitive with the brakes as well as with the gas in a sense, I press the gas pedal and it revs up to 3/4 rpm (on dash) but my vehicle is slowly picking up speed as well as when I press on the brake it almost seems to jerk. But once I turn off the vehicle let it sit for a minute it will run like normal. The brakes and gas. Any idea what I should look for it what it may be? Thank you very much I like your videos! Such great content and extremely helpful! Have an amazing weekend.
I am not a VW fan and certainly not a Jetta fan I recently rode tested a new one and I thought it was pretty junky.but what you're subscribing sounds more like a minor transmission problem that those are known for and I would personally live with it when you find out what it cost to overhaul a transmission on one of those German monstrosities
@scottykilmer
Haha alright thank you. Yeah I don’t have that happening often but I was just wondering what it could possibly be but I wouldn’t want to have to change the entire transmission
@scottykilmer
I'll say. My wife has 2019 Jetta with 6000 miles on it. We the car Burrr. Because it burrs once in awhile when upshifting.The good thing is it's leased. This will be the last VW we ever buy. Their cars are just garbage 🗑 😒 these days.
@scottykilmer
Harsh shifting. Bad transmission getting ready to call it a day. Beyond codes.
