Do older cars require a zinc additive or an oil with zinc in it?

Scotty love your Youtube channel.  I have a well maintained 85 Corvette with 75000 miles.  Changes are done yearly with yearly mileage of 1500 to 2000 miles a year.   I was told that older cars require zinc to protect the engine.  I also read that zinc was reduced in oil to save catalytic converters. Does my Corvette require a zinc additive or high zinc oil?  Thanks Eric Cinnamon
