Good morning Mr kilmer, I have a 99 dodge ram 1500 5.2 4x4 with 188 thousand miles and every time i get it up to operating temperature it just cuts off and dies. Then when i try to turn it back on i wont hear the fuel pump sending fuel, I asked an autozone guy he said that it wont buzz mainly because its already built up pressure from previously being on, and ive already changed the pump relayand the pump itself is just about half a year old, It cranks just fine but does not start i dont think its firing either after warmed up. Could you help me to figure out what might be the problem. And do you recomend any automotive course books that I can order and study at home cant really go to school at the time. Thank you for any help in advance havs a good day.
Sounds like either a failing ignition coil or a failing crankshaft position sensor.
Both act up when they get hot when they're failing.
Thank you for the advise

Check the fuel pump fuse to see if it's getting power. Did you change the fuel filter lately? Clean the MAF sensor and throttle body. Get a new air filter. You have to have fuel, air and spark. Which one(s) do you not have?
id say its not getting spark after warming up it cranks but never do i feel it spudder or speed up like when it doss get a spark.
