Drove Through Deeper Water

Hello. Big fan of Scotty and all that he does for everyone. My question/situation is this: A few nights ago I drove through some deeper water in my 2009 Toyota Corolla. I have checked the air filter, and it’s completely dry still. I’ve also checked the oil dipstick and there are no water droplets. The thing is, since the incident the car has jittered a bit more, especially on a cold start. The temperature has changed drastically in the past few days as well, so that may be a factor. Drives fine, shifts fine. Just a little concerned. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Mileage?

Just over 202,000.

If the under carnage wasn't actually submerged/water up to the doors, it's probably OK. Time will tell.

Thanks. I figure I'm okay, as the mudline was not up to door last I checked.

Good luck.

If everything is OK, just live with it. Some simptoms show up over time.

Thanks for the info guys. Luckily, I do not believe the water was as deep as was in the video. I will keep an eye out for symptoms worsening.

I don't know about your car but my Mustang has vents for the axle as well as other stuff. If water gets into them Ford recommends that the fluid(s) be changed right away.
