Electric Truck for Power Wheelchair

Can an electric SUV, hydrogen SUV, or electric pickup truck be converted to carry a 450lb power wheelchair like this conversion from ATC? Or will the battery packs be a significant challenge to adaptability for wheelchair users? Are there companies already working on this? ATC isn't. https://youtu.be/f2cx83xL3QU or https://youtu.be/fKIc3jfklIY

Yeah, why not? There's no real structural difference, it's all body work and some accessories.

Or will the battery packs be a significant challenge to adaptability for wheelchair users?

The battery packs are under the floor and they stay untouched, there's no reason why you couldn't convert an EV.

electric SUV (…) Are there companies already working on this?

From what I saw, usually folks who are in need of such cars do not have the funds to buy new unreliable toys, or properly covert. So I don't think many will be buying unreliable $50k (pre-conv) toy cars that don't even last all that long.

But some do convertor those,

Does anyone else have a comment on this? Current converts lower the floors and raise the roof of vehicles. EV batteries are in the floorboards. Will that pose a problem especially with the weight of a wheelchair, plus the weight of the person in the chair? That can be several hundred pounds concentrated in 1 spot. 800-900lbs in 1 spot won't pose a problem for these vehicles?

In light of recent legislation in both US states and all over Europe and the EU, disabled people will have NO CHOICE but to utilize EV technology and since the current modified vehicles for power wheelchairs cost over $100,000, it's a significant investment that many people aren't going to be able to make every few years. While disabled people in the US are effectively priced out of something they need, in other places, the government covers a significant portion of that cost.

There is always a choice. (Although not disabled, at least not yet, I can tell you that I will never buy an electric vehicle.) If there are no new gasoline or diesel powered vehicles to be had then used ones can be refurbished, and probably for less than what a new electric would cost. On the other hand, old used electric cars will be scrap due to the cost of battery replacement.

There is a huge installed base of gasoline and diesel powered vehicles and no matter what the people pushing this electrification nonsense may want, as a practical matter there is no way they're going to be able to get rid of fossil fuels for decades at the very least. However if you really want an electrical vehicle, as has been pointed out there should be no problem converting those to the needs of disabled individuals.
