Evap System not ready

Topic starter

2010 Tahoe, recently had some repairs down and had the battery disconnected for about two days. Been driving it around for a week and the Evap system still says not ready. Need to get it inspected in about a month to renew plates. Is there something I can do to make it ready? please help. all the rest of the I/M monitors say ready.

Clarification: How many miles have you driven since re-connecting the battery?

not many, I work 5 minutes from my house. I've driven maybe 100 miles or so since I got it back. No highway driving yet.

It’s worth a shot but try multiple drive cycles as described below:

Also, some states allow model year 2000 and newer vehicles to have the EVAP monitor not be ready.  Check with your state’s laws.

Probably haven't driven enough and gone thru enough cycles to get set evap to ready.
