Evap system trouble on Scion TC

So I have an automatic 2013 Scion tc with a check engine light. It came on the other day and I took it to an Orielys to get it scanned and it was the code P0455. I looked it up and it has to do with the evap system. The guy at Orielys said it would hurt fuel economy but is it something I should pay to get fixed? Some online forums said to check the gas cap but mine looks to be in good condition and it screws in nicely. There is no visible damage to it. Lucky enough for me I live in Tennessee and just recently got my emissions test done and starting next year won't have to anymore so if it's not a big deal I could just not worry about it however if it would hurt my car, what would you recommend doing to fix it or what should I have a mechanic check for?

It doesn't hurt anything and where you live I would just leave it alone who cares cuz finding a small leaks can sometimes take hours with the smoke machine and a bi-directional scan tool
