1998 Ford Fiesta running both lean and rich

Hello

1998 Ford Fiesta 1.3 L
It's consuming alot of gas, only 2 codes, one for a lean condition and another one for a rich condition
When i was checking live data, i noticed that the barometric pressure is about 74 kPa both when engine is off and when it's running, it doesn't change, which is not normal
I looked for the MAP sensor, i couldn't find it!!
Maybe it has an independent barometric pressure sensor? Idk
Any help?

Have a look at this. It's for a 1996 Fiesta. I don't have a clue about an independent barometric pressure sensor. My guess is no on a car that old.

Thank you
I'll take another look
Is it possible that it could be integrated with the MAF sensor?

It's located on the intake manifold near the throttle body.  Replace your PCV valve too.

Find your intake manifold, find your throttle body.  It is a square black plastic part with printing on it and held down by one bolt near the throttle body.  It has a plug in electrical connector to it.  The MAF sensor is different and is in a different location.

I'll look again
I spent like half an hour looking for it, the only thing with wires near the throttle body is a squared thing with 2 bolts, i googled the reference written on it, it turned out to be this

You are confusing a Mass Air Flow sensor with a Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor.  Go to Autozone website, type in your car's description and look at a picture of the MAP sensor, not the MAF sensor.  The MAF sensor will be located BEFORE the throttle body on the air intake, the MAP sensor will be located AFTER the throttle body on the intake manifold.

I absolutely know that
The MAP is usually on the intake manifold and super easy to find, but on this one i just couldn't find it
The scan tool data says '' barometric pressure '', i don't know if it's provided by a MAP sensor or an independent barometric pressure sensor

If you can't find it, you need to get help from somebody where you are.

One some cars (like mine) the MAP sensor is mounted away from the intake manifold and connected to it via rubber hose. Look for what appear to be vacuum hoses connected to your intake and trace them to see if hooked up to a sensor.

Yeah, actually there is something mounted near the brake booster with a rubber bose going to the intake
I'll check it out
Thank you so much

RE: Is it possible that it could be integrated with the MAF sensor?

Yes. Did you locate the MAP ?

Sorry, I misread the question. Not the MAF. The barometric pressure sensor can be incorporated into the MAP sensor.

That's what i am trying to do, i'll take another look, see if i can locate it

I believe that crummy sketch shows it on the fire wall.

True, i'll check it out
Thank you so much
