My vehicle is a 2012 Chevrolet/Holden Caprice PPV 6.0L automatic, 98,000 Miles-a former New Jersey Police Patrol Vehicle.
I bought it on Memorial Day 2022 in Oklahoma City.
Since then I had it fixed -IE:Stage 1 Cam, LS7 lifters and Rotofab CAI DoD delete, AFM detuned.
I love the car-it runs fine but MY HEADLIGHT HOUSING IS FOGGY on the inside !
I'm a 60 year old Retired Disabled Veteran and just found out that a replacement could be $1K.
I don't want a replacement. I just don't want the condensation.
Some online forums say drill holes to let moisture escape, others say use a hair dryer, or removal of the entire unit and sealing it.
Scotty, Sir, what do you say ?
I know it is a Holden WM wrapper around the Chevrolet LS engine specifically designed for Police fleets and I'm not mechanically inclined enough to take it apart.
I don't have a hair dryer.
So a foggy HEADLIGHT?
What's a cheap fix that a regular person can do that won't destroy a thousand dollar light assembly ?
Thank You,
Sincerely
AndrewJohn Boughter
I'm not a car guy, but I have watched your channel for a while. It is perfect for me because I do what I can. My other daily driver is a 1981 Ford T-Bird with the 302 Windsor
(5.0L)
Drill some holes and turn the lights on full. The heat should clear up the condensation.
