As dumb as this may sound, I sort of want another Ford in my life. My 07 F-150 has held up great. How are the 2.3L Ecoboost’s Ford is putting in these Mustangs? Are they junk? I’m worried about the 10 speed automatic too but wanting advice here. Any Ford Mustang owners here care to way in? Would you buy a brand new one? New car prices keep going up and up and I don’t want to wait.

They and their transmissions are garbage. I've seen those engines blow with his little to 65,000, mi on them. They're technologically interesting but practically they're junk

Thanks Scotty. I will steer clear then! I was hoping Ford had fixed these Mustang Ecoboost to be as reliable as the F-150 ecoboosts! No more looking at Mustangs for me then!

They both have GM-Ford 10-speed automatic transmissions. They are not reliable at all. They had recalls regarding that transmission, and GM and Ford swear they will never work together again.

EcoBoosts just wear out faster. Without turbos and direct injection, they would be dogs. Stay away. If you want a Mustang, 2017 and prior are much better made, V6s have ordinary fuel injection. They have automatic transmissions made by ZF. Anything beyond 2018 is a crapshoot.
