Ford ranger bucks and jumps.

Help Scotty! 1994 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0L V6, with 4 speed automatic transmission. It started doing this yesterday. At around 55 or 60 mph it starts shuddering/bucking and jumping a little, and the check engine light comes on for about 5 to 6 seconds before turning off. I already threw a lot of parts into this truck ever since I bought it. Here's what I replaced so far.

Fuel Filter

Fuel Pump

Idle Air Control

Throttle Position Sensor

All the spark plugs

All the spark plug wires

Coil Pack

Fuel Pressure Regulator

Evap canister purge valve

I don't want to keep chasing parts. Do you think it could be a vacuum problem or possibly an o2 sensor problem?

Find out what code is stored in the computer.

one that can read OB1 data. I'm with Yaser. Diagnosis requires data, and an investigation of what problems generated the data. Start with some data, first.

Lighting the parts cannon isn't optimal.

I had a '99  Chevy Cavalier that would do that. It was a battery going bad. And once due to a speed sensor the idiots at a well know oil change place (J) disconnected it and tried to sell me a fuel clean treatment.   Don't know if it applies to your truck or not. All computer controlled system are sensitive to low battery and sensors. For a terrible engine in Cavalier (2.2), I got 330,000 miles before the same oil change place wrecked my engine by playing with my sensors. Bought a used engine and trans with 40K miles on it. Drove it another 100,000 miles before got rid of the car and my now ex. LOL Take good care of the car with oil changes was the key. Still wondering about the ex.
