hello i have a 04 F250 6.0L diesel, 116,000 ml. no codes then or now. the F.I.C.M. went out towed it home studied check every connection sensor, charger tube inspection, map sensor hose, etc. that could cause no power symptoms.  I determined Problem ordered f.i.c.m. installed, it worked great for 400ml. then fell on it's face, but got me home. sent this unit back received replacement/installed it ran very rough, as if missing on 2 cyl.s, sent this one back, installed replacement now runs better but still has a miss feeling(if was a gas engine would fill like a spark plug wire going bad). The company I ordered from circuit brd. med. has been responsive with a how could this be attitude. should I try to take the truck to ford dealer, or try a unit from auto Z. whom I have one of theirs in my 97 model that works with 3 yr. warranty (the 1st one of theirs went 2yr.s 11months died they replaced now working well with 2nd unit). I only went with C.B.M. for their 5 yr. warranty.   dealer says 1 yr. warranty parts and labor and will not give a estimate cost for work $618.00  for their F.Ic.M. Thank you all for any advice. Have a Blessed Day      d.w.

Here's the problem computer modules are not fused so if there is a problem anywhere in the system and it eventually wipes out the module unless that problem is fixed the modules will continue to go bad. The problem is that you such small amounts of electricity it's not feasible to put fuses on their wiring so any failure in the system any sensor anywhere that feeds the module can be the actual culprit making the modules go bad. I believe you me that computer run Ford diesel is complex as all get up very few people actually know how to work on them
