I have an 06 durango with 200000 miles. When I get gas the pump shuts off and then gas spews out. What causes this and how can I fix it?
@whhale
Approximately where in the vehicle does the gasoline spew out of?

This is a common problem with Chrysler vehicles. There is probably an updated fuel filler neck design from Mopar that would fix this issue, however, on a car this old it probably isn't worth bothering. I would just estimate how much gas it needs to get to full, then stop it before it overflows. If you have a keen ear, you can even hear the fuel starting to back up in the filler neck (the pitch of the sound will increase) and you can stop it yourself once it starts changing pitch.
