This was about a week ago but many may not of heard of it yet.

Affected components: rear toe link.

Affected vehicles:

  • 2012-2013 Buick Regal
  • 2013 Chevy Malibu
  • 2010-2013 Buick Lacrosse

Number of affected vehicles: 213,128 vehicles are affected by this problem in the United States, with another 8,577 in Canada. Only vehicles from the following states are involved in this recall campaign: Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

The fix: dealers will be instructed to replace the rear suspension toe links and adjuster fasteners in affected vehicles. These repairs will be performed at no cost to the vehicle owner. GM says parts for this recall campaign are not currently available. As such, owners will be mailed an interim notification on February 15th, 2021, with a second notification set to arrive once the parts become available. The second letter is expected to be sent out in late March.

This is on top of the 700 thousand vehicles affected with a seat belt flaw, and a recall two months ago involving 6 million GM SUVs for Takata airbags.

Any time you need to check if your vehicle is affected by a recall, visit this site:

https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls

You will need your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), which is located on your door sticker, as well as windshield.

If you are affected, then contact your vehicle manufacturer as soon as possible to avoid risk of personal injury.

I am not surprised.  This will happen forever if GM does not un-screw themselves.
