I know I'll be laughed at for posting anything about GM, but has the problems with their 8 speed transmissions been fixed? I know the legal action continues, so it's difficult to get a straight answer. I cant find many bad reports about the 2020 models. Only Scotty will tell it like it is...

Time will tell, but I can’t recommend any “recent” GM-designed transmissions. Transmissions are more complex than engines, and they can’t even design those right.
GM will just smooth it over with some slick marketing and people will completely forget about it. Actually most people don’t even pay attention to these things and will be completely oblivious if it doesn’t show up in their Twitter feed.
