Dear Scotty;
I love watching your videos. You are the best on YouTube, you are the best in the world. I watched your video about possible reasons for heat up issue. The only problem is that I'm driving a goddamn Opel astra 1.4 T 😀 Last Summer V-Belt has been broken and heat went up to 93-95 and autostopped. We towed the car to mechanic. Changed the belt and issue was gone. A month later due to a leakage in the antifreeze, car heated up to 93 again. I stopped the car added some water and continued driving. I took the car to authorized service. They changed the thermostat (issue continued) they later changed the water pump with gasket. If I add antifreeze it leaks. If I add water no leak this time. But even though there is no leak last night engine heated up. I turned the heat all the way up and drove home like that. Some mechanics say gaskets in the engine may have been burnt out which is gonna cost at least $2000, Some say just clean the radiator, some say just clean the whole coolant system there might be a congestion. I don't know what to do at that point.
I tried to head gasket of the engine is blown. So do my video how to tell if your head gasket is blown Scotty. It's on YouTube and it'll tell you
