Wife's 91 Ford Probe had the AC Evaporator and Heater Core replaced a few years back. I doubt the shop actually replaced the Heater Core because they could not produce the old one when asked. It now appears the Hearer Core has developed a slight leak. Rather than losing the R-12 charge and having to remove the entire dash I am considering using some sort of sealer. I have heard that K-Seal is not supposed to stop up tubes in the radiator or heater core. Any thoughts on this product or recommendations on what to use?
Bite the bullet, replace the core ! Do it right ...
Gotta agree with OldRangerNut on this one. Tried many and none last. Chevy used to use Barr's prophylactically but don't know if they still do that and debatable if it even helped (impossible to tell?!).
