I have a 1998 Subaru legacy sedan with an automatic transmission it has 255k miles I bought it used for only $600 as my first car and it idling ruff when i turn on the hazard lights or use anything electrical like the power windows or power lock it will idle up then down then the car will turn off what could it be?

Load test the battery and alternator. Clean the MAF sensor, IAC valve and throttle body.
