Help find the location of the Pollen/car cabin filter on a Hyundai Atos Prime 2004?

I own a Hyundai Atos Prime 2004 from 2008. This model is also known as Hyundai Amica and Hyundai Santro.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyundai_Atos

For years I have asked around auto services to find the location of the pollen filter as the car manual calls it. They would take apart half of the car but could not find it. In my understanding, the pollen filter is just a different name for a car cabin filter to help the interior for all passengers.

Does anyone know where to find it in a Hyundai Atos? I believe it needs replacing because there were huge piles of dust inside the ventilation of the car that I manually removed at a car wash. But, the car manual provides no clues whatsoever with regard to its location.

Searching around the internet, on a similar car - Hyundai Gets, the cabin air filter is located under the passenger's glove compartment. Is this the same situation with the Hyundai Atos?

Any help is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Your car may not have a cabin air filter, they were not very common in the early 2000s. Double check with your Hyundai dealer, they will tell you.

The car was made in Germany and then sold, probably second-hand through someone here in Moldova where I live.

The manual is my only source of reliable information. I tried searching for factory manuals that show how the car is built. Unfortunately they mostly show more information on the car frame, the main components. But haven't yet figured any information regarding this specific accessory car part.

The manual DOES write about a pollen filter. I never replaced anything like that. It's so weird that I can't find it.

Going to the local dealer here only made them disregard me. They seem to work with new cars and not old junkers like this. But I might try that if all else fails.

I really doubt your 2004 has one, later models probably do. One other avenue to try is emailing folks at the Hyundai corporate offices, most likely someone there will refer you to someone with your answer.

I will ask them certainly because this seems such a rare model that I probably won't find answers by sheer luck.

According to the manual, some models don't have A/C, catalytic converters and other additional car parts/accessories of this type. My model does have these. The first thought would be to deduce that if this model has all of these then it should have that pollen filter. Especially if it's specified in the manual. I.e. it's not one of those things that come with a premium version of the car. Doesn't seem to be the case here. But I will continue asking around some more.
