Ok I’m about to buy a Toyota but I cant make my mind between a 2014 Toyota Avalon XLE (v6) 65k miles or a 2016 Toyota Camry SE (i4) 70k miles. I want this car to last as long as possible! I drive mainly highway and plan to do trips with it. Please help me make the wisest choice! Thanx Scotty!!!

I’d go with the i4 Camry on that one. Much less complex & easier to fix than the V6.

As with any used car, have an honest mechanic check it out before you buy it.

Any trusty mechanic in the DFW (Tx) area u may suggest ?

You’ll have to ask the forum for suggestions on that one, I’m afraid.
Good luck with the purchase!

This one is a no-brainer.

From the 2 vehicles you mentioned, and the statement about highway driving, there's one choice: Avalon

The Camry isn't even in the ball park.

But don't forget the 3 C's: Condition, condition, condition.

Ever wonder what the "SE" means for the Camry ? Sport Edition ?

Hard suspension, low to the ground, intended for cornering, never intended for highway use, bucket seats are narrow, thin padding means on long trips you get a lot of wiggling around and a very numb butt. Take the Camry SE on a 100 mile trip and you'll know what I mean. Take the Avalon on a 100 mile trip and you'll be ready to do another 100 miles.

But it's certainly your money and your decision.
