I have a 2001 ford Ranger v6 3.0 with 224,000 miles... Blown head gasket... I drive this truck once a week... I do not want to do the work..My mechanic said do not spend the money for a head gasket, I agree... So Powertrain sells a remanufactured 3 year engine for $1550.00 plus another $800.00 to my mechanic..Question is... Is this worth doing this.. Used trucks out here in Los Angeles are top dollar so this saves me money but will this engine last..Or will any remanufactured engine last.. Reviews are never that good.. Thank you in advance for any ideas!!

unfortunately remanufactured engines are only as good as the people who are remanufacturing them and you never know unless you have friends who will bought it from a certain company to see that they're any good. I know things cost a ton out and la la Land California so if you can trust a guy to put in a good engine you might as well
