Hi Scotty!
I have recently swapped my car for a beautiful 5 gears Shiftstick v6 3L Ford Ranger 2000, 180 miles on the clock. Been driving great so far only at my great surprise turned the key to start it up and it wont crank.
searched up and found a few videos about it. apparently has to do with the ignition fuse and or/relay. but I’d really wanna check and test things around before I blindly start buying replacement parts.. where would you recommend best I start?
Assuming your battery is healthy and fully charged, no crank means it's likely the starter circuit. Check voltage at the starter solenoid electrical connection at the starter (the smaller wire). if no power while trying to crank, check the starter relay and/or starter fuse, if either exits. If there is power at the solenoid and it doesn't make any sound, then it's likely the solenoid. If it makes a healthy click and there is voltage (no less than 9.5V) at the big starter cable at the starter, then it's likely the main starter.
